A few new laws for 2007

First, Happy New Year. Thank you for reading my blog over the last year. I hope you continue to find it useful, entertaining and interesting in 2007. I also hope you tell your friends and family to read this in 2007.

A few new laws for 2006 that you should be aware of. First, AB 2190 increases the penalties for reckless driving and contests of speed. Second, pursuant to SB 1613 you are now required to use a hands free device for your cell phone while driving. (Technically, it does not start until July 1, 2008 but the police will be warning people now.)

There are others out there, like you can't leave your pets in the car unattended and you cannot tether a dog anymore. But, these are the two biggest that will affect your driving.
