FAQ: When is it an occurrence?

Q: When does an occurrence occur under a completed operations coverage?

A: It occurs when the loss occurs. Until a loss occurs, a mistake or an error, is nothing more than that. However, once an injury occurs, than it becomes an occurrence. Of course, if you have a non-standard policy or you are insured under a manuscript policy (i.e., custom written), you need to read your policy to make sure that this applies to you.
