If this is true, WOW! The Department of Insurance issued a press release today that will blow you away.
Basically, the insurance industry told Garamendi to either drop his proposed regulations or be bomarded with a negative ad campaign. Now, I am not a big fan of Garamendi, but this is uncalled for. If these allegations are true, you can see what the insurance company believes: take no prisoners in protecting our profits.

I sincerely hope that the state Attorney General's office looks into this. Last time I looked, extortion and blackmail were felonies.
