Insurance Commissioner: Is there a race at all?

I really do not like to get political, but we have a race for insurance commissioner in this state. On one side we have Steve Poizner, a Republican millionaire. On the other side, we have Cruz Bustamante, the Democrat. Unfortunately, Cruz has decided that taking money from the insurance industry, the same industry he wants to regulate is a good idea.

Does anyone remember Chuck Quackenbush? Does Bustamante really think that taking money from the people he is supposed to regulate is a good idea? He actually said that he hopes they are giving him the money because he is the best candidate and the most qualified. Really? He believes that? Because I don't. Until he can tell me when he either sold insurance, handled insurance claims, or was an underwriter, he is not qualified. Does he have a CPCU? ARM? Any insurance degree at all?

He is a career politician who is looking to find a job since he is termed out. At least have the courtesy not to take the money from the insurance industry.
